Dr. Zille Huma, Pathologist in charge Oncology laboratory, conducted workshop on Hematology at the 7th.Annaul Symposium of the Hamdard Medical University Karachi in December 2008.
Ms. Saira Firdous, Senior Technologist Cytogenetics laboratory, presented paper on the results of Chromosomal Analysis at the 7th Annual Symposium of Hamadard University in December 2008. She also presented a paper at the 14th National Meeting of the Pakistan Pediatric Association held at Multan in February 2009. Her trip to Multan was sponsored by the CAA.
Prof. Aziza Shad, Head of the Department of Pediatric Oncology Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant George Washington University, Washington DC, visited the Oncology Unit in March 2009 and discussed problem cases.
Dr. Naheed G. Usmani, Associate Prof. Pediatric Oncology / Hematology, Massachusetts Children Hospital Boston USA, delivered a lecture on update of Kidney Cancer in children on March 13th 2009, at the invitation of CAA. The lecture was well attended by the staff of NICH.
